Judy as Dorothy

11x17 oil on board, Judy Garland was a real challenge, in art as in life. Actually that goes for all portraits. Apart from getting her likeness, there is her expression, and that little spark in her eyes. And your little dog too, of course. Very fun to paint, though lots of revisions on this one. Portraits are hard. I should probably do more.
