5x7 oil on board. A second view of the same sunlit wall with birds, this time from the skytrain platform above. When I first saw this wall from the platform I knew I wanted to paint it. The messy city. Plus the other interesting thing for me is the tubular structure of the platform itself. Lots of complexity and geometry. Fun in our own neighborhood, I took some pictures while awaiting the skytrain... love the shadows of the pigeons. This is my reminder that as bleak as our surroundings seem to be, there is always something randomly beautiful available-- if only we remember to look for it.
